Daily Affirmations: To Be Empowered

Today, I re-mind myself that to be empowered, I must keep moving forward, and live my life in the moment, for in every moment there are opportunities to shine. In embracing the now I create the space to acknowledge that my life is rich.

Food For Thought: Moment to Moment

I like to think that life is a grand adventure, for we have opportunities all the time, to make the ordinary moments in our lives extraordinary. Much of what occurs in our lives and how we react to it is based on our finite view of each moment in the now as it occurs.

This is not to say there are times when we cannot take ourselves out of tough circumstances, this is to say, we can put more reverence into the ordinary moments and find the grace of adventure in a simple trip to the grocery store. (more…)

Daily Affirmations: Move Forward with Purpose

How easy it is sometimes to let the littlest thing get in the way of our joy, let alone the things we need to accomplish each day. When worries take over in our heads we become slave to those worrisome thoughts and all else becomes clouded with the skies of a brewing storm.

Today, I re-mind myself to release my worries like rain falling on the earth, and accept that I am sometimes powerless in the things I cannot fix. Rather than allow worry to cloud my day, I will take a deep breath and release my worries. I will be in the moment and move forward with the purpose of the day’s tasks. Intent makes manifest… What needs to get done, will.

Food For Thought: On Life Lessons

sandypoint2

Our path is always changing, as is the scenery. One day we find ourselves heading in a completely different direction then we had planned. What happened, we ask ourselves, how did my life change so suddenly without my approval of the plan? Lessons appear in our lives when we least expect them. These life lessons are our opportunities to rise above the adversities in our lives and become more than we were when the lessons presented themselves. How we handle those lessons determines whether we learn from the lessons or stay stuck, wallowing in despair.

Life can be harsh and life can be filled with wonder and joy. It is up to each of us to make the best of what we are presented with each and every day. Each day, I re-mind myself to find even the smallest sliver gratitude, joy and happiness. Even in the midst of the most profound grief and sorrow, we can all find something to be grateful for each day. Gratitude matters. When we strive to live in the moment we begin to transcend the difficulties placed in the midst of our path.

Daily Affirmations: Little Issues

Our life is what we make of it…

etherealskyGranted there are times in our lives that sadness and grief well up and need our attention, but there are little issues that arise each day, that we can change our reactions to, and find it easier to get through those little issues with less stress and anxiety.

Today, I re-mind myself that I am solely responsible for how I react to the experiences that I have in my life. When stress and anxiety arise, I re-mind myself to stop, be in the moment, take a deep breath, release and repeat, until I am centered in the knowing that I am strong and resilient, and I can get through this little issues, this minor stress.

Daily Affirmations: In The Still

winter on the merrimack riverIn the still, we find answers to our deepest questions. Meditation is not something that comes easy for many people, but I have found that nature helps me find that place where the still exists. As I let myself go and become one with nature, it is in that moment that answers and inspiration arise.

Today, I re-mind myself to take even just a few moments for myself and sit quietly in the still. No music, no TV, indoors or outdoors. No focus, just being in the still. In this I know, this is the deepest communication I can have with my heart space.
