Discrimination is a learned belief not something that is inherent:

“Spiritual discrimination, like reason itself, grows out of dialogue.”  – Sam Keen: Hymns to an Unknown God: Awakening The Spirit In Everyday Life

Sam Keen’s latest book, In the Absence of God: Dwelling in the Presence of the Sacred, is a brilliant book that is a small thought provoking feast that I would recommend to anyone with questions about the meaning of life and evolution from the religious to the spiritual.

“You have brought your Self to the relative world so that you might have the tools with which to know and experience Who You Really Are. Who You Are is who you create yourself to be in relationship to all the rest of it.” ~~ Neale Donald Walsch: Conversations With God : An Uncommon Dialogue (Book 1)

On The River

As I mentioned here the other day, the publisher of Newburyport’s American Yatch Club’s newsletter had asked permission to use one of my photos for their cover. Here’s the front cover featuring a photo of a dory in front of Lowell’s Boat Shop in Amesbury, MA:

The photo featured is one of many I have taken of the dory’s in front of Lowell’s Boat Shop. As it’s one of my favorite subjects to photograph, no doubt there will be more in the months to come. Many thanks to Jim Grenier of Renegade Studios for publishing my photo in the newsletter!
