Reflections: So Below

Life is like a reflection… The deeper we go, the further we seek, we find answers to the questions. As above… so below. Never stop seeking the answers. Never stop searching for the clues. Always be curious and remain skeptical of things that make you doubtful. There’s always a message if you have eyes to see, ears to listen and a voice to speak your mind.

Daily Affirmations: Blossom and Shine

I’ve been on a trajectory for a few weeks now to be more productive and get back on track, after a long period of introspection. Life knocked me off course. I lost my way and settled in to just be, as I worked through the things in life that knocked me off course. It’s been really good to be productive again. Good for my heart and soul, but some days I still struggle with keeping on track. I think we all feel that some days, no matter what is going on in our lives.

Dogwood

Today, I re-mind myself that it’s okay to not be productive if that is what I feel in the moment. But, I also re-mind myself that if I push through the desire to not be productive and find that space where I can be productive, I will blossom and shine a little more today and every day. And so it is, I set my intent to blossom and shine. Intent makes manifest. Namaste…

Daily Affirmations: In This Moment

I love the feeling of floating in life. You know that feeling, when everything in life is working the way you want it to and you are floating along, flowing on course. In truth, we’re always floating in life, we’re a stick floating downstream on the river of life. Whether life is good or life is not good, we’re still floating. But it’s our mindset that is different. Sometimes we can change that mindset but other times it is best to work through whatever it is that is weighing us down. Maybe we are not a buoyant as we’d like to because we’re going through a lot of heavy stuff in our lives – loss, pain, trauma, grief, financial struggle, drama with others – you name it, these are the things we need to work through as we float downriver.

Food for Thought: Life as a Process of Following a Path

I look at life as a process of following a path. The path isn’t always direct. Sometimes it is straight and you are moving along in life thinking, “yeah, this is good.” And then one day the path takes a turn. You’re good with that turn, great, keep moving. Maybe the turn doesn’t feel right. Maybe you need to sit and think about whether you want to go in the new direction or turn back. It’s still a forward motion in life if you follow the turn. Turning back might not be beneficial, because life is all about moving forward and evolving as our best selves.

Daily Affirmations: Little Miracles Happen

This week I received a little miracle in the form of some magic money. It wasn’t money I expected to ever see. But then it arrived. That little miracle made me feel very grateful. In life, I believe it is the little miracles that happen that lift us up and give us strength each day. Sometimes we don’t even recognize the little miracles when they are happening to us. But, trust me, they happen to everyone.

Red daylily

Today, I affirm that little miracles do happen. I open my heart and mind to the possibility of those miracles happening, and I also tune my ears to hear and my eyes to see those little miracles as they happen. I am open to receive, and I am open to believe that little miracles change our lives. And so it is, intent makes manifest.

Reflection: Who Am I and Why Am I Here

Who am I and why am I here? Let me fill you in on what I am up to… I’ve been working on my website for a couple of months now. It had fallen by the wayside while I was in school for six and half years. A month ago, I had written here that I was working on “getting back on track with my writing.” I have to say, it feels good to be back at it. One of the focuses I have had in the past two weeks now is to get back on track with writing Daily Affirmations.

Snowy Egret at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.

I’ve been sharing other writers affirmations and then writing my own Daily Affirmations online now for over 20 years. I initially started sharing affirmations online daily on my first business website, the now defunct AromatherapyGoddess.com. The business was a new age aromatherapy and bath & body business. I made my own products and built my website and taught myself to self-market my products online reading everything I could about how to market products online. One of the common themes was that the more content you had online the more traffic you would receive and the longer you would keep someone on your website. That still holds today.
