Daily Affirmations: Optimism

“There are times, when the weight of problems are so heavy in our lives that it is difficult to stay focused and positive. In those times, I re-mind myself how important it is to practice optimism throughout my day. Each time I find myself feeling weighted down with problems, I affirm to myself that there is no room for negative thought or negative actions in my life today, tomorrow, or any day, from this day forward. Instead, I look to the positive outcomes of all of the problems in my life, noting that positive thought brings about positive outcome.” – Pamela J. Leavey

“Today, I re-mind myself that being happy is a choice that I can consciously make. The first step to being happy, is to choose to be happy, everyday. Happiness is not a gift, although there are moments and events in life that bring happiness with them. I recognize that maintaining happiness daily is something that I must strive to achieve and work at on a conscious level. I affirm today that I choose to be happy.” – Pamela J. Leavey

Daily Affirmations: Change

Change is inevitable. We see it all around us every day in every aspect of our lives and the lives of everyone we know. We see change at work, we see change in nature, we see change so constantly that sometimes we miss the subtle nuances that bring change forward. Some of us have the desire to be part of the change, to make a difference in the world by helping to facilitate change. To make a change in the world we must often change our own thoughts and actions so that we align with the change desired. To be catalyst for change, we must be willing to change our own selves, listen to others and commit to making a difference in the world.

Daily Affirmations: Relationships

“Today, I remind myself that as all relationships are assignments, there are many things I can learn from each person who I interact with, whether friends or family. Sometimes in relationships we learn hard lessons and sometimes those relationships bring us the greatest joy. I thank the Universe today for allowing me to participate in this learning experience that is constantly changing and testing my ability to learn from my assignments. Life is a path we walk and our relationships are all stops along the way.” – Pamela J. Leavey

Daily Affirmations: Change and Possibilities

I have always held on to the belief change, as inevitable as it is, happens for a reason. Sometimes we do not recognize at first that all change has benefits. We have doubts, fears and concerns. In these times, I find this affirmation from Julia Cameron to be helpful:

“Divine wisdom underlies all events. No change is without the possibility of benefits. No transition, however harrowing and difficult, fails to bring good. Despite appearances to the contrary, all events unfold according to a higher harmony. I attune myself to this unfolding. I release my doubts, fears and misgivings to a higher hand. By asking Spirit to comfort me, I am cradled in my human frailty yet strengthened in my spiritual connection. I turn to Spirit in all circumstances. I open to the higher good that unfolds through my compliance.”

“Today, I acknowledge the presence of Spirit in all circumstances. I attune myself to the higher plan that works through me and for me. I expect help and accept it. Divine consciousness is attuned to my needs. I am not unheard.” – Transitions: Prayers and Declarations for a Changing Life
