As I watch Mother Nature begin to wreck havoc today with her wild wilds, rains and storm surges across the North East, I am re-minded of the impermanence of all things and I am filled with gratitude for all that nature gifts to us. Common sense tells me to respect the boundaries and opinions of friends and family in my life. I tread carefully, I remember that we don’t all have the same views when it comes to religion or spirituality, or politics. The lure of nature is a strong force of inspiration. I am awed by the wonders that I see every day, whether in my yard or driving in my car, or hiking a well loved path. Everyday our lives are filled with blessings great and small, that we often overlook. To see the sun after a few rainy days… Is a blessing. To watch a bird or a butterfly gliding on a breeze… Is a blessing. It’s easy, when we look beyond the toil of everyday to see the blessings, if we open our hearts.
