Reflections: Switching Things Up

I’ve been working this week on switching things up a little. Change is always good, I believe. It gives us a chance to get rid of things that no longer work for us and start something new. Or it gets us back into an old habit that we dropped and needed to put back in our lives. Or maybe we start a new relationship or find a new job. Whatever the change is, when you set your mind to switching things up, stuff happens, because intent works. Coincidences happen for a reason. All that stuff, that reminds us that the Universe is working in our favor. Oh, that the Universe always worked in our favor. Wouldn’t that be grand. We should all be so lucky, but life and the Universe don’t work that way. So when it does, remember to be grateful for the changes that happen for the better. I like to think that when things go wrong, something better will come along. It usually works out that way, think about that a little…

There’s an old French Proverb, “Gratitude is the heart’s memory.” How beautifully true that sentiment is, for when we ware grateful, our heart soars. When we switch things up a little, our mind is soaring to new heights, heading in new directions. It is freeing. It is liberating. As we lift off from the ground on our new adventure, we feel the air around us changing. Our hearts are beating like the beating of wings, repetitively and reverberant. We fly on, grateful…

Daily Affirmations: Look for the Little Miracles

As daily life for so many around the United States and the world slows down in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, today is a good day to remind ourselves to look for the little miracles that happen everyday around us. Some of us may wonder, how can little miracles be happening as people are out of work, staying at home to flatten the curve of the spread of the virus, and people are dying.

But if we all look closely and strive to be in the moment, we will see the grace unfolding around us. That grace is the phone calls from friends and family. That grace is stepping outside to hear the birds sing. That grace is seeing the spring flowers bloom, watching the children play… There is truly so much to be grateful for right now. And so it is, I set my intent today, and every day, to acknowledge the little miracles that unfold around me and be grateful for each and every one of those miracles. Intent makes manifest. Namaste…

Daily Affirmations: Gratitude is the Antidote for Attitude

Today, I remind myself to take in the view around me and find gratitude where I can. There is always something in view no matter where I am that can lift me up and give me pause to be grateful. Gratitude is the antidote for attitude. I set my intent today and every day on relishing the moments that fulfill my soul and enrich my life. Each day I affirm that gratitude matters. And so it is… Intent makes manifest.

Daily Affirmations: To Be Prosperous and Abundant

To be prosperous and abundant, I must acknowledge that prosperity is the natural state of acceptance for all that I have in my life. Prosperity and abundance are not limited to material things and objects. When I am grateful for the riches of my life that are outside of the bounds of material possessions, I am open to receive. When I am grateful for my abundance, in every way, I am open to receive. When I am open to receive, I set the space for more riches to enter my life. As I use my intent to acknowledge my prosperity and abundance, I plant the garden in which my riches might grow. And so it is… Intent makes manifest.

Daily Affirmations: I Am Abundant

Today, I re-mind myself that when I worry about having enough, I block the flow of prosperity and abundance. When money is tight, it is normal to worry about having enough to pay the bills, put food on the table and have a little extra for things that you need. But, continued worry simply causes stress and anxiety to compound and it does not solve the issue at hand. I know I must set my intent to prosperity and abundance, rather than worry about lack there of, because intent makes manifest and gratitude matters. Today I will not worry about what I need, instead I will focus on what I have. And so it is… Intent makes manifest. My life is rich. I am abundant.

Daily Affirmations: Cast Off the Mantle of Struggle

Today, I re-mind myself that carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders weighs heavy on my limbs, for burdens of life though they may stay with us for some time, are meant to be lessons that ultimately lift us up, not continually weigh us down. With my intention set at its highest purpose, I seek today and every day to let go of the burdens that I hold tight to. I release the past, I rest in the present, I go with the flow, and I let the weight that holds me down, melt away. I forgive those who need forgiveness, including myself. I accept what I may not understand. I look for blessings in the littlest of things, the briefest of moments. There I find gratitude in my day. I keep an open space in my heart that might feel compassion and love for those who like me struggle in this world. I strive this and every day to cast off the mantle of struggle and use my life to lift up others. I accept the grace that leads me. And so it is… Intent makes manifest.
