There are two paths to follow, the inner path that leads to the self, and the outer path that encompasses the universe that surrounds each and every one of us. Each path holds it’s own importance I believe, and I re-mind myself each day to remain open and balanced on the paths I follow.

In the still we find inner peace, that flows like the river from the source to the sea. In times of trouble I find that river in my soul and I allow myself to flow quietly like the river in search of release. ~ Pamela J. Leavey

When I was a small child, my family camped on this beach every summer for a few years. Sandy Point State Reservation, is at the southern tip of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, camping has been banned there now for decades.
When I was there a week ago, we were already experiencing extremely high tides. With Hurricane Sandy heading up the East Coast poised to possibly converge with a Nor’easter, I anticipate the hide tides at Sandy Point, and the entire area to be even higher than we’ve seen here in the last week.
The storm could also effect voting in the areas hard hit, which might just impact election results.
I love a good storm… but my hope is Sandy calms down before she strikes my area.

Common sense tells me to respect the boundaries and opinions of friends and family in my life. I tread carefully, I remember that we don’t all have the same views when it comes to religion or spirituality, or politics. Life, love, friendship are all precious and in that I work every day to use common sense in my communication with others. ~~ Pamela J. Leavey

The lure of nature is a strong force of inspiration. I am awed by the wonders that I see every day, whether in my yard or driving in my car, or hiking a well loved path. I re-mind myself everyday to take time to reflect on the wonders of Mother Earth and rest my soul in her abundance and glories. ~~ Pamela J. Leavey
