Daily Affirmations: I Am Strong

When the weight of the world weighs us down it easy to forget how strong we are. Each of us are capable of accomplishing things we might have never dreamed of, when faced with certain tests and tasks. However, sometimes when the weight of the world slows us down, we must honor that decelerated cycle in our lives and allow ourselves to rest and recuperate before we set out again to make our mark in the world.

Today, I re-mind myself that I am a powerful person who can handle all things that the Universe presents me with. I am strong, I am capable and I will get through the tests and tasks set out for me. That which tests my inner strength does not require that I win a race to get through it. Each day is a new opportunity to work through whatever slows me down.

Daily Affirmations: I Will Do My Best

As a writer I often struggle with my voice questioning whether my words are touching others lives as I intend them to. Artists often struggle with their creative talents and find it difficult at times to properly express themselves through their given medium. This is true for all people, as it speaks to a question of whether or not I am good enough, or capable of doing a good job in any vocation. It is important for us to learn to cross that bridge and put self-doubt behind us when it arises.

The bottom-line is that all people at one time or another suffer from self-doubt. In these moments of self-doubt, we each must remind ourselves that in doing our best, we will succeed…

Today, I honor the place in me that knows who I am. I am filled with a warm sense of comfort by honoring all that I am. I thank the Spirit that moves through me and brings my creations into fruition. I go forth on this day, knowing that I will do my best, in all that I do.

Daily Affirmations: One Goal At A Time

sea star sandy pointSome days I get ahead of myself, thinking of all the things I need to get done in the future. I worry myself in procrastination mode, instead of attacking one goal at a time. When I see this behavior rising up and taking over my day, I know it is time to shift direction and get back on task.

I re-mind myself that I am only human, I can only accomplish so much in a day. I stop, take a deep breath, organize the priorities of my goals and then seek to accomplish each goal, one goal at a time. It will get done. I affirm to myself that I can do it. One step, one goal at a time.

Daily Affirmations: Abundance

refuge springFinancial security and abundance for so many people is an issue that seems so difficult to achieve. I have struggled with this issue throughout much of my adult life, owning two small businesses and raising a daughter alone. The struggle and the worry of having enough to make ends meet at times seems so overwhelming that it is easy to give in to despair. But despair is not an option, because despair does not fix the problems that weight us down.

When you go through life often living as austerely as humanly possible you learn lessons if you keep an open heart and open mind. This affirmation from Louise Hay has helped me through some tough times in the past, when it seemed that there was not enough to pay the bills and put food on the table:

My income is only a channel; it is not my source. My supply comes from one source, the Universe itself, and it can never run dry. ~ Louise Hay

I have learned over the years to think in terms of abundance and to give thanks for all that I do have. This requires learning to re-think certain aspects of your life. Inner change comes from forming a different style of communication with yourself and being open to the idea that the Universe will provide. How we think about things in our lives makes a difference. Words can easily manifest into intent when repeated often. I re-mind myself daily:  “I am abundant, I have all that I need.”

Daily Affirmations: Believe That You Can Do It

wally-famousamos-merrimackriveratlowellsI’ve been struggling with some nagging self-doubt… This is a great reminder. We all need re-minding that we can do anything we set our minds to. Self-doubt can be a healthy way to look critically at things in our life. Wallowing in self-doubt however is not at all productive.

Today, I re-mind myself when I “believe” that I “can do it,” I set that wheels into motion to make that happen. Intent makes manifest.

Daily Affirmations: Every Little Ray of Light

saltmarshSometimes our hearts and our minds are like a cloudy sky blocking the sunshine from our lives. We’ve struggled, we’ve suffered loss, we’ve been weighted down by sadness and grief. We wait patiently the skies to open, showing the reward of the dazzling sun.

Today I re-mind myself that every little ray of light that passes through my heart and mind, creates a fertile ground for inner peace and happiness. It may be cloudy outside, but I can make the sun shine in my heart and mind, by simply choosing to give joy a space in my life today.
