A discerning eye looks at the world and questions what it sees… Nothing is ever as it appears on the surface. We must look with open eyes and a critical mind, to see what lies below the surface.

Sometimes the path that we are following appears to be heading straight as we move forward with the knowledge that we are on track. But then, suddenly out of nowhere on the horizon, we look ahead and we see that the path is veering off in another direction. Today, I re-mind myself to embrace the change in direction that comes my way and I affirm that regardless of that shift, I am on the right track.

Today, I am re-minded that my life is rich and filled with abundance on so many levels. Where I feel it might be lacking, I re-align my thinking from lack to fulfilled and trust the Universe to provide. With the inner peace of knowing that I have all that I need, I open the channels to receive

Today, I re-mind myself that in life there are always choices; one of those choices is hope and the other is fear. Today, I choose not let fear run my life, hiding in the shadows. On this day and each day forward, I choose hope.

Sometimes it seems so difficult to keep moving forward. One day you are stuck in the muck, another day you are wading in deep waters. And then, there are those days when you can’t find your way out of the everyday world that surrounds you, to take a little time for yourself. But that time for yourself is vital, be it a few moments of meditation, a walk around the block, or day of doing nothing.
Today, I re-mind myself that it is okay and quite necessary to take time for me. I breathe deeply, exhale and vow that today and each day forward I will make time in my busy life each day, that I might find peace and joy in, even for the most fleeting moment.

Sometimes we overlook the things we have done in our lives as we wish we could do more things, or go somewhere we like to travel to, or have opportunities others have. In these moments we can re-mind ourselves of this:
“I value my sense of history. I am alert to the many colorful and enjoyable episodes in my own life’s unfolding. Rather than bemoan a lack of color or adventure in my life, I consciously choose to notice and appreciate the many small adventures and victories which each of my days entertains. I focus on the precise and measurable evidence of the good that comes to me as I am alert to life’s many blessings. I notice, remark, and remember the kind word, the well-told joke, the flashing beauty of a small finch lighting on a roadside shrub. Alert to the beauty and detail around me, I revel ever more fully in the many graces life has to offer me.” – Julia Cameron: Blessings: Prayers and Declarations for a Heartful Life
