Yellow Sunflower with Orange Center
My creativity has been at a stand still since the pandemic. Here’s to changing that…
I’ve been ruminating on these thoughts for a while now… Here we all are in another day of limbo, waiting for the Coronavirus to move on past us, so that we can all resume our lives. We know now that life won’t be the same as it was before this started. We’re all tasked right now with figuring out what the new normal will be. I think we’re also tasked, those who are called, to ask what can I do differently in my life, because my life, all of our lives are now forever altered by this global collective trauma, Coronavirus.
It’s hard to look away from the numbers as the weeks go on. It’s hard to turn away from the raving lunatic at the podium. It’s hard to not feel so many collective emotions that are flowing together and passing through us all, whether consciously or subconsciously. For me personally, I feel as though I must bear witness to this life altering time. Most days I find myself sitting in the still in deep contemplation. Eventually as I work through the things in my head, the bearing witness, I find my mind is still and clear.
I haven’t been able to bring myself to the page since this started. I try and let what I write drop away, by deleting it. Something I am always loathe to do. There might be words of value somewhere on that page that I just dumped. So today, I’m not dumping this page. I’m just letting my thoughts flow and letting my readers know where my head is at in the midst of Coronavirus – Stay at Home life.
Thankfully in the midst of all of this, we see new beginnings are happening all around us. Whatever the new normal will be, let’s all make the most of it. Peace…
Please remember that for many people who live alone, this “stay at home” – “shelter in place” new normal in the midst of the coronavirus, is a lonely trail. Make sure those folks who you know are walking this path alone, know that they are loved. Peace… 💚
From my manuscript in progress, Reflections on the River...

We’re all searching for ways to stay afloat in the midst of turbulent times. Many of us have lost our anchors, be it our jobs – our financial stability or physical contact with the people in our lives who are often there when we need someone to hold us up. It is a tough time for everyone right now. And more then ever we need to pull together, and help each through this unprecedented time of social and physical distancing.
Today, I re-mind myself that in this time or so many people, all around the world, staying at home, staying sheltered, staying afloat — we can all work together to make our world a better place. I set my intent today and everyday to do my part in working to make the world a better place and strive help keep others afloat. And so it is… Intent makes manifest. Namaste.
As daily life for so many around the United States and the world slows down in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, today is a good day to remind ourselves to look for the little miracles that happen everyday around us. Some of us may wonder, how can little miracles be happening as people are out of work, staying at home to flatten the curve of the spread of the virus, and people are dying.
But if we all look closely and strive to be in the moment, we will see the grace unfolding around us. That grace is the phone calls from friends and family. That grace is stepping outside to hear the birds sing. That grace is seeing the spring flowers bloom, watching the children play… There is truly so much to be grateful for right now. And so it is, I set my intent today, and every day, to acknowledge the little miracles that unfold around me and be grateful for each and every one of those miracles. Intent makes manifest. Namaste…
