Light & Color

Sometimes my eye catches something and it just pops out at me as art waiting to happen. That’s what I love about photography, it’s like instant art gratification. The photo below is of the ceiling light at Faneuil Hall in Boston, Massachusetts:

The photo itself I felt had some great effects, Photoshop did the rest of the work as the photo album shows (click on Slideshow).

Daly Affirmations: Life Is A Journey

Today I am reminded that life is a journey. Sometimes the road may seem harder to travel, as it weaves and winds through unknown terrain. When the road becomes more difficult I have choices. I can wallow in the pot holes, or I can choose to steer around them. Challenges are opportunities for growth which I welcome today and every day. ~~ Pamela J. Leavey

Daily Affirmations: Like the New Leaves

I look forward this day, that I may learn a new lesson. I look forward to this day that I may grow like the new leaves on the trees in the bright spring sun. ~~ Pamela J. Leavey

Food For Thought

“Being is the practice of gratitude and compassion. I am alive only in the degree that I am moved by the tidal rhythm of receiving and giving. I am a gossamer curtain hanging in a window separating time and eternity, blowing back and forth in the everlasting breeze.” ~~ Sam Keen: Hymns To An Unknown God

Sweet Song Bird

The song of the cardinal is one of the sweetest sounds of spring. I have 2 or 3 pairs of cardinals in my yard as well as blue jays, a purple finch, abundant robins and sparrows and countless other species of birds filling my yard with a symphony of sound each day.
