Iris and Peony Photography

These beautiful Iris and Peonies are amongst the gardens at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, Massachusetts. I’m particularly fond of shooting florals. My mother had the most beautiful gardens when I was a child, including peonies and iris. Flowers are so expressive and colorful. They beg out to be remembered in fine art photography prints.

All prints are 8″ x 12″ Giclée Prints on Fine Art Paper. Each print is priced at $32.99, with a $9.99 flat rate shipping fee added at the Checkout.

Artist Statement: As a photographer I am drawn to color, light, movement, patterns and reflections that occur in nature. I am a visual spatial person who naturally sees what is before my eyes within a frame. Throughout my life I have been inspired by art and nature, each in their many forms. Photography a marvelous medium for me as multimedia artist, writer and photographer, as it provides an instant gratification of creating something tangible that I can share with others. I hope you find inspiration in my work, and invest in my artistic vision. With gratitude… Pamela Leavey

Daily Affirmations: Staying Afloat in Turbulent Times

We’re all searching for ways to stay afloat in the midst of turbulent times. Many of us have lost our anchors, be it our jobs – our financial stability or physical contact with the people in our lives who are often there when we need someone to hold us up. It is a tough time for everyone right now. And more then ever we need to pull together, and help each through this unprecedented time of social and physical distancing.

Today, I re-mind myself that in this time or so many people, all around the world, staying at home, staying sheltered, staying afloat — we can all work together to make our world a better place. I set my intent today and everyday to do my part in working to make the world a better place and strive help keep others afloat. And so it is… Intent makes manifest. Namaste.

Daily Affirmations: Look for the Little Miracles

As daily life for so many around the United States and the world slows down in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, today is a good day to remind ourselves to look for the little miracles that happen everyday around us. Some of us may wonder, how can little miracles be happening as people are out of work, staying at home to flatten the curve of the spread of the virus, and people are dying.

But if we all look closely and strive to be in the moment, we will see the grace unfolding around us. That grace is the phone calls from friends and family. That grace is stepping outside to hear the birds sing. That grace is seeing the spring flowers bloom, watching the children play… There is truly so much to be grateful for right now. And so it is, I set my intent today, and every day, to acknowledge the little miracles that unfold around me and be grateful for each and every one of those miracles. Intent makes manifest. Namaste…

Food For Thought: Sitting in Fear and Anger is Not Healthy For Anyone

We’re in the midst of some unprecedented times in the world. With Coronavirus spreading to every country and many countries scrambling to shut down businesses and keep people at home to stop the spread of the virus and flatten the curve, we’re all in a state of suspension that is nothing we could ever imagine happening prior to this.

I’ve been through a range of emotions in the last week or so, as I am sure many have. I’ve been sad, I found myself easily driven to tears, I’ve been angry and I’ve been afraid. I have no doubt I may cycle through these emotions again as we continue to hunker down around the United States and the world, waiting to for this all to pass and hoping, praying that we and our loved ones are not stricken with Coronavirus.

Last night while sitting in contemplation, I decided that in order stay strong through this all, I needed to not rise to the fear and anger, because sitting in fear and anger is not healthy for anyone ever. I know this isn’t easy to release our fear and anger, it is something we must work at, but the more we can let it go, the clearer our hearts and minds will be and the healthier we will be.

Life is always a series of tests. Life is always in flux. Life is always in motion, even when it feels like the world is standing still, which in so many regards it is. So today, I’m practicing the being in the moment as much as I can. It is my hope as I write this, and subsequently share it, that others will choose to not sit in fear and anger as well.

Be kind to one another and spread compassion and empathy to all. Namaste…

Daily Affirmations: Make a Difference in the Lives of Others

Like everyone, it has taken me a few days to really wrap my head around the global Coronavirus pandemic we are in the midst of. The bottomline is we are in this together. As we each strive to keep ourselves safe and healthy, it is tantamount that we all stay focused and centered, and we each remember to be kind to one another. Kindness comes in many forms. If we’re shut in alone or with others, it means reaching out to our friends and family to see how they are holding up.

Today, I re-mind myself that even in the midst of a pandemic, I can make a difference in the lives of others. I affirm my own well-being and I vow to check on my friends and family and let them know they are loved. I set my intent to make a difference in the lives of others today, and every day. Intent makes manifest. And so it is… Namaste.
