Daily Affirmations: Change

Today, I re-mind myself that in working through changes in our life, we run through a variety of emotions that are normal and necessary to process the changes. Change isn’t always easy, and although we must embrace the change, we also may allow ourselves to feel thoroughly the anticipation, sadness, and even grief that might come up in the process of change. When we work through our feelings rather than cast them aside, we come out stronger and more at peace.

Food For Thought: Life is Precious

Yesterday, we were reminded in the most horrific manner how precious and fragile life is. Like so many I spent the day watching the horror unfold and as a political and news blogger, I found myself glued to my computer sharing the information on the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut.

Today, I want to re-mind friends and readers that compassion, understanding, acceptance and love is so pivotal in our existence here on Earth. Life is fragile. Live each day in joy and choose happiness as your mantra.

Spend some time today reaching out to family and friends and let them know how much to mean to them… And step away from the TV, Computer, Smart Phone and spend some quiet time reflection, either outside or in place of peace in your home.

Love is all there is… Live it.

Tara Singh: Rest the Brain

Many years ago while living in Los Angeles, I attended a Course In Miracles Retreat in Santa Barbara that was led by Tara Singh.

Tara Singh was a dedicated teacher of a Course in Miracles and the founder of the Joseph Plan Foundation. Unfortunately there aren’t many videos available of Tara Singh’s teachings. I did find this video and wanted to share it here:

Simply listening to Singh speak draws one towards peace of mind…
