Walking is an exercise in contemplation for me, whether I walk alone or with a friend, my mind traverses the path in front of me and delves into the deepest thoughts in my mind. I am reminded of the words of Sam Keen on walking in his seminal book, Hymns to an Unknown God: (more…)
The reflective self seeks answers in the depth of their being. Like the egret searching the waters for a morsel of nourishment, the minds plumbs its depths for sustenance for the soul. In the silence of nature, answers flood the mind in code like fashion, as we release and let go, and become one with nature. ~ Pamela Leavey

When the flower are in bloom we see it as abundance, for it is rich and full of life. Our own abundance blossoms, blooms and wanes like a flower, for that is the cycle of life playing out continually as we walk our path.
In those times when the flowers have gone dormant, and abundance seems a distant memory, I summon my gratitude for all that I do have and I re-mind myself, “I am abundant, I have love… I am abundant, I have money.” Gratitude is the food for thought that gives substance and sustenance to our abundance. To recognize that and give thanks for all that we have, is a powerful statement of acceptance that opens the door to the blessings of the Universe for the creation of all that we need.
The solitary swan is alone, but “Aloneness is Not Loneliness”:
“Aloneness is obviously not isolation, and it is not uniqueness. To be unique is merely to be exceptional in some way, whereas tp be completely alone demands extraordinary sensitivity, intelligence, understanding. To be completely alone implies that the mind is free of every kind of influence and is therefore uncontaminated by society; and it must be alone to understand what is religion–which is to find out for oneself whether there is something immortal, beyond time.” – J Krishnamurti ~ The Book of Life
Food for thought… It is all about being in the moment because everything changes like the tides…
“The fundamental understanding of oneself does not come through knowledge or through the accumulation of experiences, which is merely the cultivation of memory. The understandingof oneself is from moment to moment; if we merely accumulate knowledge of the self, that very knowledge prevents further understanding, because accumulated knowledge and experience become the center through which thought focuses and has its being.” J Krishnamurti ~ The Book of Life

Today, I re-mind myself that the everything is possible and all is attainable. What I seek is within and all around me. I make choices. I choose to be happy and I choose to be sad. I choose to live in bliss or I choose to live in frustration. My intent is innate and as powerful as the nature all around me. Gratitude guides me from moment to moment, filling me up and empowering me to be all that I am capable of in the most positive ways.
