Food For Thought: Communication

I feel as though people do not always take the time to fully communicate with each other. Is it because we are afraid to hear what someone else has to say? Is it because we are afraid to expose our vulnerable places and spaces to others? When we communicate with loved ones, we find communion…

“Communion is the root word in communication, reminding us that to communicate with another  person isn’t to pass on information.” ~ Deepak Chopra: The Path to Love

Food For Thought: Joyful Planet

“But how can there be a joyful planet without its being inhabited by joyful people? Our embrace of joy doesn’t rob others of the possibility. Quite the opposite is true – it liberates them, if they choose to be liberated.” – Marianne Williamson – A Woman’s Worth

Food For Thought: Life is Precious

Yesterday, we were reminded in the most horrific manner how precious and fragile life is. Like so many I spent the day watching the horror unfold and as a political and news blogger, I found myself glued to my computer sharing the information on the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut.

Today, I want to re-mind friends and readers that compassion, understanding, acceptance and love is so pivotal in our existence here on Earth. Life is fragile. Live each day in joy and choose happiness as your mantra.

Spend some time today reaching out to family and friends and let them know how much to mean to them… And step away from the TV, Computer, Smart Phone and spend some quiet time reflection, either outside or in place of peace in your home.

Love is all there is… Live it.

Food For Thought

“It is a woman’s function to mother the world by holding the idea of its possible perfection within her heart. We give birth to children, to men, to businesses, to each other. It is not the uterus but the heart that is our real womb. What emerges from the heart is a co-creation with God.” – Marianne WilliamsonA Woman’s Worth

Food For Thought

A little Food For Thought today…

Step into your choices and stop telling yourself that you can’t, when what you really mean is that you don’t want other people to feel the way you think that are going to feel when they see you making the choices you really want to make. Got it? ~~ Neale Donald Walsch

Food For Thought: The Path of the Pilgrim

“The path of the pilgrim is the path to a heart that expands and does not constrict. That doesn’t mean we won’t have sorrowful days, but if there is some sorrow, we want sorrow that matters. Both sorrow and joy can stretch us and hone us. The issue is not whether we our day is easy, but whether we spend it with an open heart.” – Marianne Williamson – Illuminata
