Sometimes my eye catches something and it just pops out at me as art waiting to happen. That’s what I love about photography, it’s like instant art gratification. The photo below is of the ceiling light at Faneuil Hall in Boston, Massachusetts:
The photo itself I felt had some great effects, Photoshop did the rest of the work as the photo album shows (click on Slideshow).

I spent a good part of the day yesterday with camera in hand taking photos at the Newbury Salt Marsh (one of my favorite places to photograph), and then later in the evening I thought the icicles on the porch were an interesting subject:
