Food For Thought: Moving On
August 21, 2015
I had had my heart set for a few months now to move to a new apartment. I had two criteria that mattered most, after living in a downtown apartment with no yard or view. I was looking for “a place with a yard’ and “a room with a view.” Quietly, I set my intent out into the Universe and the Universe answered at exactly the right time. I’m moving on… The view and the yard are awesome. It is time for a change and I am so ready for it.
Moving is a wonderful thing because it opens the channels to new energy. The moment I stepped out of my car at my new place I felt like I was home. And I walked across the threshold of the back door, into the old mud room, I knew I was home. And then I say the view from the living room, and walked up the stairs to take in the view from the front bedroom. Ah… There’s no place like home. I had found my new home.
I feel so blessed to have found this lovely old half house on the Merrimack River, the river of my childhood, the river that runs through me. I am looking forward to walking along the river each day and fueling my soul with a daily infusion of nature and then sitting at my desk writing each day, while glancing out the windows to see the river and chance that a Bald Eagle or Redtailed Hawk may fly by.
I look forward to gardening again, I’ll be moving in to my new place just in time for planting tulips and daffodils. I also look to having bird feeders again and sitting outside on my porch listening to birdsong and watching the sunset on the river. Most of all I look forward to the healing and the happiness I know my new home with bring.
Change is good. I am grateful today for the change to move on…
